Career readiness focuses on teaching the skills students need to succeed in today’s job market, categorized as academic/technical skills and soft/power skills. It also includes a big picture view of the student’s abilities and interests as related to jobs. This session includes a toolkit of activities for students to do a deeper dive into their interests and how those relate to occupations. The toolkit includes resources to research occupations and the necessary training, as well as, a Reality Check budget exercise and goal-setting techniques.
